REM OPEN IN LAVAL

Last updated: December 2, 2025

Since November 17, 2025, the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) serves the Laval area. It is an automated light metro system in the Greater Montréal area, with five stations currently in service between Brossard and Gare Centrale. Four segments will eventually be added to the network: West Island, Deux-Montagnes, downtown Montréal and airport.

Two stations are located in Laval:

  • REM Sainte-Dorothée (served by the STL)
  • REM Île-Bigras (not served by the STL)

Some STL routes also serves the REM Bois-Franc and Du Ruisseau stations in Montreal.

To learn more about this mode of transportation, visit the REM website.
