What is REM?

The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is an automated light metro system in the Greater Montréal area, with five stations currently in service between Brossard and Gare Centrale. Four segments will eventually be added to the network: the West Island, the North Shore, downtown Montréal and the airport. To learn more about this mode of transportation, visit the REM website.

Two stations in Laval – SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN FALL 2025:

  • REM Sainte-Dorothée (served by the STL)
  • REM Île-Bigras (not served by the STL)

Note that some STL lines will serve the REM Bois-Franc and Du Ruisseau stations in Montréal.
